Description
The Martec Motorised Solar Panel is a “trickle feed” battery charger used to maintain a charge in the battery for the Martec Motorised Roman Blind Motor.
(This Solar Panel cannot be used in conjunction with the Martec Motorised Curtain Motor)

This Solar Panel is intended to maintain and extend the charge life of the Roman Blind Battery. It is not intended to charge the battery fully from flat. Please charge your battery fully using the charger provided before connecting the Solar Panel.
The Solar Panel should be mounted in such a way that it is exposed to the maximum amount of sunlight available. Window orientation will dictate effectiveness. North facing windows will receive more sunlight than south facing windows. Window and roof eaves can be problematic due to sun blocking. If mounted inside the window, any tinting will also have a negative effect on the charging efficiency. If mounting outside, we recommend you consult a builder as to the best and most efficient way to proceed.
Best results are achieved with outdoor mounting in direct sunlight.
Martec Distribution takes no responsibility for the installation and/or effectiveness of the Solar Panel. This is a “third party” product and effectiveness will depend on where it is mounted, how it is mounted, window orientation and exposure to sunlight.
